At Kashmirikali, we take great pride in the quality of our handcrafted products. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

In brief: We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for defective or incorrect items only. We do not offer returns or refunds on correctly delivered, undamaged garments as all our pieces are handcrafted and largely made to order.

1. Eligible returns

A return is accepted only if:

  • The item received is significantly different from what was ordered (wrong colour, wrong product, wrong SKU)
  • The item has a manufacturing defect — a fault in stitching, embroidery, or fabric present at the time of delivery
  • The item arrived physically damaged due to transit handling

2. Non-returnable items

  • Items returned without prior written approval from Kashmirikali
  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or have tags removed
  • Items returned after 7 days from the date of delivery
  • Unstitched and bridal collection items (Rang-e-Kashmir) once dispatched
  • Sale, discounted, or promotional items
  • Items where dissatisfaction is solely due to colour variation from screen display (natural variation — not a defect)

3. How to raise a return request

  2. Provide your order number, the issue description, and clear photographs of the defect or damage
  3. Our team will review your request within 2 business days and confirm if the return is approved
  4. If approved, ship the item back to our address in its original packaging with all tags intact
  5. Return shipping costs are borne by Kashmirikali for defective or incorrect items; by the customer for other approved returns

4. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for the same product in a different available colour within 7 days of delivery, subject to stock availability. The customer bears the return shipping cost for exchanges (unless the original item was defective).

5. Refunds

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item
  • Refunds are issued via the original payment method (UPI / bank transfer / card)
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
  • GST will be refunded as part of the full product refund where applicable

6. Order cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placement for a full refund
  • Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled
